I cannot adequately express how thrilled I am to have completed this reading program. It is not because it was a lot of work. On the contrary, I loved working on this project. In all of my years of parenting and teaching, I’ve never found a complete, comprehensive, sensible, simple and affordable program to teach someone how to read.

When I was 21 years of age, I attended a reading class for teachers at a university. We were presented with the most logical steps to use to teach
someone how to read. We were so happy to finally learn these steps. Then the professor told us that there was no such complete program available that walked a reader through these steps. We were shocked! A few years later I used the steps to teach my own children how to read. I made my own materials and used pieces from different programs.

Well, many years had gone by and many reading programs had been written since, but still I could not find the complete, simple program that I
knew was possible. They all seemed to be missing something, or were so complicated and/or expensive, that I would just shake my head. Then, about six years ago, my two older daughters sat me down and had a talk with me. Now one daughter is an assistant principal of a high school and the other an attorney. So when they want to have a “talk,” it’s serious and I listen. They told me that I needed to write the reading program I’ve been looking for for the last 35 years. They said that they wanted to teach their children to read some day and they wanted to know how I did it.

I was stunned. I knew that would be a major, time consuming project, and I was still teaching full-time and raising my two younger children. I replied that I’d have to think and pray about that. Well, after six years of working on this during my summer and winter breaks and some evenings
in between, I just completed it! I can confidently say that I believe this is the easiest to use, most complete and fastest reading program available. It can be used with little children and adults. I truly hope you enjoy this as much as I think you will.
